Well...April
is finally here. It has been an interesting and
enjoyable year. I have learned SO much about my
hair and myself as I journeyed through this first of
many years of locking. I love my locs and nothing
that anyone says or does can change that. I don't
get much negativity anymore...I get a lot of compliments
on my hair. Oh, sometime last month, I decided
to color my locs. I didn't do all of them; just
random ones throughout for a "highlighted"
effect. It's nothing very light like blonde, but
a reddish-brown. You'll see those pics as well
below.
So, enough
of my ramblings...enjoy the pics! Don't worry,
although I won't be updated this site as frequently
as every 3 months or so, I WILL add pics from time to
time as my locs grow and progress. I mean, I HAVE
to let you see them when they are hitting my shoulders,
then my mid-back and my waist! ;-) I also have
to show when they are fully matured. Oh, and I'll be
somewhat updating the "Family" section as
the kids' locs progress. Keep me bookmarked and
come back and see me sometime!

you really can't see the color in my hair although
it's there. So...here are a couple of pics that
show the color up close, in more detail.

Since I dont'
have enough length to do a ponytail, I did the next
best thing...flat-twisted to the back and left a bit
loose at the bottom, then secured with a rubber band
(or you can use a ponytail holder).
