WELCOME TO MY
Yeah, creamy crack is a good name for it because relaxers have millions of Black women literally ADDICTED to bone-straight hair! I was once there myself. I fought my natural kinks and naps every month. The instant I felt those little crimps and dips in my roots, I ran for the nearest salon and/or beauty supply for that next "hit". I know this description is offensive to some, but be true to yourself. Go deeply within yourself and think about why we relax (or straighten, period) our hair. We have been programmed...brainwashed into believing that we NEED to straighten our hair; that our natural, nappy hair is ugly and unacceptable but this is an outright "LYE"! I learned a GREAT deal about the history behind why we began feeling the need to straighten our hair in a book called "Hair Story : Untangling the Roots of Black Hair in America" and I recommend that ALL Black people read this book. It took a while for me to come to this realization that many other Black women have come to and are constantly coming to but I've finally arrived. So, I invite you to come and follow me on my journey to FREEDOM... Click here to begin my journey from relaxed-to natural-to locked! |
